Hogg surname Y-DNA
Project
by Dwight Hogge
The Hogg surname Y-DNA project currently has 7
participants (as of March 2007). A surname DNA project seeks
to establish the relationships between various family lines with
the same surname (allowing for alternate spelling) by comparisons
of the DNA markers in the Y chromosome, which is passed virtually
unchanged from father to son generation after generation. The test
is painless and easy, and does not reveal any information about
health issues.
The Hogg DNA project is hosted by Relative Genetics www.relativegenetics.com.
Access to the project is controlled bu a username & password.
You can access the project by going to the Relative Genetics
website, clicking on the "LogIn" button at the top of the home
page, and entering the username "hoggfamily" and password
"hoggdna". This will take you to the project home page.
I encourage more Hogg men to join. If you want to join you can
contact Dwight Hogge by clicking on the "email project coordinator"
button on the project home page.

A Message From Gary

Connor and Crissy
On the Sunday
before Thanksgiving 2005 Dustin Mashburn (My son-in-law, Crissy’s
husband, Connor's Father) was in a single car accident ejecting him
from his vehicle. Dustin has extensive brain damage and the doctors
say he will never recover he is in a nursing home in Madison GA
now. (Connor was only 9 months old at the time of the accident.)
This has created an extreme financial burden on the entire family,
I have used all of the home equity and savings that I had trying to
help support them, Crissy applied for social security benefits and
was told that all of the social security benefits were going to the
nursing home for Dustin’s care. She also applied for assistance for
daycare so she could work and finish her nursing degree. Crissy was
denied once again and again for welfare and food stamps. Family and
children services told her that she made to much money to claim any
benefits. Crissy only brings home $1000.00 per month, Daycare for
Connor is $92.00 per week this leaves about $600.00 per month to
pay rent,power, water,car payment,diapers,gas,insurance and
groceries. The math is simple there is no way for Crissy to make it
on a $1000.00 per month and the family has depleted all of their
resources. Crissy and Connor need enough to support them for two
years so she can finish school (about $50,000) I know this sounds
like a lot but the plan I have is as follows:
A trust fund
has been set up for Connor and Crissy Mashburn.
If everyone
who sees this will take the time to send at least $1.00 we will
raise this money in no time at all. I know that some will send more
than $1.00 and I know some will think this is a hoax or money
making scheme that is why that it is important for me to start this
with family and friends so you can verify that this is a real
need.
To make a
contribution make checks payable to:
Crissy and
Connor Mashburn Trust Fund
and send it
to:
Exchange Bank
of Milledgeville GA

or to

Please give from you heart and pray everyday for a miracle
healing for Dustin and pray for me as I step in and try to be a
Father as well as a Grandfather for Connor.
